Yesterday morning was the first time this scholastic year that Rosebud and I have had to get ready at the same time. Thanks to one and a half bathrooms and two hairdryers, we have no problems.
We have had sort of a coincidental buildup to this schedule. First, I was going to school while she was still on summer break. Because she stayed up later than I did during that time period, I often awoke to interesting little communications:
Transcript of longer message: I forgot Luke [our dog] had poison on his back [monthly flea medication, recently applied], and I petted him last night. I washed my hands but it kinda tingled after, but I could have imagined that. Wake me up if I'm gonna die. Left hand.
Transcript of shorter message: P.S. I got Sophie [our cat] to eat a Huge SCARY spider for me. Hope she doesn't die either.
I wrote reassuring messages back to Rosebud before I left for the day.
Here is another little note for me:
There was no way Rosebud was going to dispose of a spider carcass. I was happy to take care of it (before I took the photo).
The next phase of simultaneous school morning primping was a two-day period when we both were going to school, but Rosebud took the bus and, therefore, left later than I did. On those days, I woke her up just before I left the house.
Yesterday was the first day of her 0-hour class.
We do have a car pool though, which is awesome. I drive Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. While the other student's parents came to me originally, I was actually the one who suggested the 3/2 division of days--because I am ecstatic not to be rushing on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have an early class.

As far as official law school news goes: I turned down my job at the law library and will just be working as a research assistant. I really liked the supervising librarian when I did the training and she was great when I went to talk to her. I am glad to have the decision made and that everything went so well.
